Whilst I figure out how to transfer my next pattern onto my fabric, I thought I'd practice some chain stitches ans create a little reference guide. All done with three strands of embroidery cotton.

I'm not the best at chain style stitches, and it's far from perfect, but that's what practicing is for. I used my Embroidery Stitch Bible for the various stitches, which also helps me get better at understanding stitch instructions.

Other little piece I've worked on recently - a practice at transferring a pattern using tracing paper and basting stictches. It went...OK. Probably would have been better to start on a less intricately small pattern (the final piece is less than 5cm across).
